A large research programme on dairy cow fertility has been initiated with University College Dublin. The project will take approximately five years and is relating performance to body condition, locomotion and blood metabolites.
There are two beef research projects in conjunction with Harper Adams University. The aim of the finishing beef project is to find a solution to the loss of growth at around 100-120 days into intensive finishing. The calf research programme is examining how the calf can be prepared at weaning to optimise feed utilisation.
