The CIPD awards celebrate the best in Human Resources and people management across Northern Ireland, recognising organisations that champion better working lives for their people. Rebecca joined Devenish's Human Resources team as a placement student in 2017. Devenish was so impressed by her ability and potential that Rebecca remained with the company on a part time basis while she studied at Belfast Metropolitan College (Belfast Met) to complete an HND Level 4 qualification.
Rebecca has since completed her HND Level 4 and CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management, skills from which have helped her develop and expand her role within Devenish's busy HR team.
"We couldn't be prouder of Rebecca receiving this award," said Gillian McAuley, HR Director of Devenish.
"Rebecca has shown such drive and a real focus on learning, using her skills and training to bring about true benefit for the business. We place a big emphasis on identifying and nurturing talent within Devenish and Rebecca is a shining example of the value of doing so," Gillian McAuley said.
Rebecca has also been congratulated by Belfast Met's Principal and Chief Executive, Louise Warde Hunter, where she received her qualifications:

"Studying a CIPD qualification is not just about acquiring relevant knowledge. Successful students apply what they have learned to bring about real business benefits.
"Rebecca's entry was judged as exceptional by a panel of top HR and business professionals for demonstrating how her studies enabled her to initiate and implement business improvements within Devenish.
"We are also delighted to see another Belfast Met student, Simona Fisichella, who recently completed her Level 5 CIPD Learning and Development Studies qualification, reach the top three finalist stage of these awards. These achievements are testament to the quality and commitment of people coming into the workforce in Northern Ireland."
Devenish seeks to identify and nurture talent at every level of the company through several initiatives led by its HR team. Such programmes include the Devenish Academy, Graduate Programme and apprenticeship schemes. It also supports research and PhD work through partnerships such as the Devenish Doctoral Training Programme in conjunction with Queen's University Belfast.
