The CIPP Awards recognise payroll and pension professionals who have made an outstanding contribution and demonstrated a commitment to excellence in their profession.
Over the past 12 months, Devenish has undertaken a transformation project, which included improving the efficiency of payroll and enhancing employee customer service.
To help improve employee customer service and ensure business continuity throughout the pandemic, Devenish bolstered the payroll team by upskilling and training HR Officer, Rebecca Scollan and Graduate Ruth Hutchinson.
"The development of the payroll team and the introduction of new initiatives has been the driving force behind ongoing improvements in our department," said Paul Salters, Payroll and Benefits Manger.
"Together we have developed different cost saving strategies and have worked in partnership with other departments to help streamline payrolls and employee expenses."
Gillian McAuley, Group HR Director at Devenish, has praised the payroll team who have been heavily involved in implementing changes which are "helping Devenish deliver its strategic aim of being a Great Place to Work".
"I am incredibly proud of Paul and the team who have introduced a number of new initiatives over the past 12 months including the introduction of electronic payslips, the implementation of salary sacrifice and the development of Cycle to Work which have really helped to improve the overall employee experience," she added.
Best of luck to the team who will be attending the CIPP Awards virtually on Thursday 15th October.
