Devenish shortlisted for five CIPD Awards

30th September 2020

Devenish is thrilled to be shortlisted for five categories in the 2020 CIPD NI HR Awards.

Now in its eighth year, the CIPD awards celebrate the best in HR and people management in Northern Ireland and seek to identify organisations that are championing better work, and better working lives. They are widely considered the most prestigious and highly regarded awards for HR in Northern Ireland.

Devenish is proud to be shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Outstanding HR Student of the Year - Rebecca Scollan
  • Best HR Team of the Year
  • Best Talent Management Initiative
  • Best Learning & Development Initiative
  • Excellence in HR Leadership - Gillian McAuley

Gillian McAuley, Group HR Director at Devenish, believes that being shortlisted for multiple awards is due to the "focus over the last five years on building an exceptional HR team to support and deliver on the strategic aim of being a Great Place to Work. I am delighted to see the hard work being recognised in being shortlisted for these awards."

A large area of focus for Devenish has been to develop its Talent Management programme and introducing the Devenish Academy to develop and inspire talent by providing everyone with the opportunity to build on their skills, enhance their performance, and aim for new goals. The HR team has developed and introduced a number of innovative initiatives including the Devenish Graduate Programme with 10 new recruits, an internal apprenticeship programme, an Early Talent Programme and various programmes to develop PhDs and support research including a Devenish Doctoral Training Programme in conjunction with Queen's University Belfast.

This year, the awards ceremony will take place virtually on Thursday 1st October. You can view the ceremony online here.

Congratulations to the HR team, and very best of luck to Rebecca Scollan and Gillian McAuley on their individual awards.
