Devenish Launch Sponsorship of Ireland's Mounted Games Team

The Irish Mounted Games Team and sponsor Devenish launched the team’s official kit at the Cork Show on Sunday 21st June.

This year’s World Teams Championships takes place in Lexington, Kentucky, USA from the 6th to 11th July. The Games bring together the best Mounted Games players in the world for a week of exciting competition, where the Irish Team will be competing against opposition from 21 countries across 5 continents.

“We’re delighted to be sponsoring the boys as they head off to represent Ireland in Kentucky, and we wish them the best of luck at the Games”, Francis Coffey, Pig Sales at Devenish commented.

The team heading to Kentucky is Jake O’Connor, 23 from Naas, Tony Whooley, 25 from Cork, Donelle O’Leary, 18 and also from Cork, Aido Hanlon, 32 from Meath and Mark Devitt, 32 from Laois. Many of the riders have represented Ireland at the Team Games before and together give Ireland a great chance to bring home some medals.

Conor O’Leary, Chairman of the Mounted Games Association said “We would like to take this opportunity to thank Devenish for their sponsorship which has made it possible for the team to travel to the games. The Team can’t wait now to get started.”
