DEVENISH NUTRITION INTERNATIONAL SHEEPDOG TRIALS A ROARING SUCCESS

The Hanley Farm in Kilbegnet, Creggs, Co. Roscommon saw upwards of 25,000 visitors from across the UK, Ireland and beyond “come bye” to watch the 2014 Devenish Nutrition International Sheep Dog Trails from the 12-14th September.

With competitors from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man, there was plenty of competition amongst the teams. The first 2 days saw 60 competitors vying for the 15 places in Sundays Supreme Champion Final, which was won by Ireland's James McGee and his dog Glencregg Silver.

“Devenish Nutrition were delighted to be involved as this event was an excellent opportunity to showcase the importance of both rural sport and agriculture in Ireland. We’ve been involved in the industry for over 60 years and recognise that just as we are specialists in providing nutritional expertise and technical support, the handlers and dogs are specialists at their field also” commented Simon Caughey, Marketing Manager at Devenish Nutrition.

“We would to take this opportunity to thank the other sponsors for their support, the organising committee, who did a world class job as well as the Hanley Family without whom this event would not have been possible.
